Sky Blanket 2016: July Update

This month started out with a rainbow. We needed it, after the miserable month we had in June. I take it as a sign of better things to come, a more vibrant, a brighter future. Fingers crossed.

Sky Blanket 2016: July Update

Here is a snapshot of the July skies that were the inspiration behind this month's crochet. There was a visit to London and then there was the start of the summer holidays to celebrate.


The inspiration behind my crochet

I'm doing all crocheting this month with a hook size 5, unless I mention otherwise. Here is my crocheting pattern for July from top to bottom if you fancy crocheting along. Hope you do, it's incredibly therapeutic.

1 - half trebles in Rainbow Colours (Patons Fab DK) for the gorgeous rainbow we had 
2, 3, 4 - half trebles in sparkly grey
5, 6 - DC in bluebell (Stylecraft)
7, 8 - DC in sparkly black 
9, 10 - DC in turquoise (Stylecraft)
11 - half trebles in sparkly blue
12 - half trebles in Heather
13 - half trebles in Cream
14 - DC- chain- DC- chain- DC in variegated red/orange (Vermont), hook 5 for a stunning red-gold sky at sunset. This is similar to a row I did last month
15 - half trebles in Cloud Blue
16 - half trebles in Cream
17 - half trebles in variegated red/orange 
18 - half trebles in Midnight 
19, 20 - DC in Cream
21, 22 - DC in Turquoise 
23 - half trebles in Cherry Red
24, 25 - DC in sparkly black 
26, 27 - DC in Bluebell
28 - half trebles in Rainbow Colours (Patons Fab DK)
29 - half trebles in clementine orange
30, 31 - DC in Royal
