The Num Noms have arrived in the UK! What are Num Noms, you
ask? They are a range of delightful, scented, food-related collectible toys
that are all the rage Stateside and have now crossed the pond.
You have ice-cream and cupcake Nums. Team them up with
either a motorised or a lipgloss Nom. Scoop them up into a cup or a cone and you
have your own recipe for fun.
We were sent a selection of these super-cute little
characters to review. Our ice-cream starter pack had all the ingredients for
the perfect banana split ice-cream. We got 1 motorised Nom, 3 Nums, an
ice-cream cone and a spoon.
Our Nom is called Strawberry Go-Go and smells of, well,
strawberries. Our Nums are Minty Chip, Choco Cream and Billy Banana and smell
of mint, chocolate and bananas respectively. The cone and the Nom is hard plastic, while the Noms
are soft, squishy plastic. You can squash and mould them to fit on top of each
other to create an ice-cream sundae.
The motorised Nom is rather cute. It has a mind of its own
and once set up, wanders around, carrying all the Nums and cone with it.
We have had tons of fun playing with our set. J has always
liked to pretend he owns an ice-cream shop, and this lot now add a little extra
to his imaginative play. So far, I have had to eat a strawberry ice-cream that
hobbles around and sundaes involving all sorts of combinations.
