Itty Bittys by Hallmark: review and giveaway

They are cute, cuddly and collectable. They are the Itty Bittys - a fantastic new range of plush toys by Hallmark. They are all the rage stateside and have crossed the pond this autumn, just in time for Christmas.

So what exactly are Itty Bittys? They are larger than life popular characters made oh, so cute. And so tiny that an Itty Bitty can comfortably sit in the palm of your hand. You can stand them just about anywhere with a little support- on the work desk, the window, the dresser. Or simply hold them close in a giant cuddle. They don't light up, they don't speak. It is not gimmicks, but great quality and delightful charm that make the Itty Bittys so appealing.

Making their UK debut are super heroes from the Justice League, the evergreen cast of Wizard of Oz along with Scooby Doo and Shaggy. If you are a fan of the Peanuts, also debuting are Snoopy and Charlie Brown.

Did I mention that we are in December and counting days to Christmas? So are the Itty Bittys, with a miniature Santa and Rudolph making a special appearance just for this festive season.

What did we make of our Itty Bittys? Loved them to bits. Hallmark have always excelled with quality and the Itty Bittys are no exception. They are very well made and retain the characteristic features of their reel-life counterparts. The Cowardly Lion, my favourite, even has that little red bow in his shaggy mane.

My son has been eyeing our collection of Itty Bittys but I have been reluctant to hand them over. I honestly think they are great collectables for grown ups. I'm not alone in thinking this. The fact that they are sold out in the US and Australia and have people clamouring for them online, speaks volumes about their popularity and appeal.

The Itty Bittys will make fantastic gifts this Christmas, for young and old alike. Individually, they'll be fab as stocking fillers, while the whole or part of the collection can be a special present. And as Hallmark keep adding to the collection, you will always have a new Itty Bitty to add to yours.
