School Run Colours 18/02/15 - The Fever

School Run Colours
Fevered little head
Laboured heaving chest
Heavy eyes search
A calm moment of rest.

Little hands cling
Grasp me in earnest
Nightmares cry out loud
Long nights of unrest.

Flailing limbs find
 Solace around my waist
Sweet child of mine
Clasped to my breast.

Frail bud wilting
Regain your zest
Push through bracken
Thrive, stay blessed.

These are my School Run Colours for this week. The photograph was taken on the school run last week. The words were penned today, as I sat cuddling my little son, wishing him out of his fever and back to his usual chirpy self.
