Mi-Mic Karaoke Microphone Speaker - Review

I love to sing and so does my six year old son. I have never had any formal training and J is only just beginning his, but we have always bonded over music. We love to listen and sing along to our favourite tracks at home as well as in the car. So when the opportunity arose to review a karaoke microphone, I knew it was something we would both enjoy.

The Mi-Mic is a karaoke microphone with an in-built speaker and Bluetooth functionality. The Bluetooth allows you to connect the Mi-Mic to any paired device, so you can channel the music through it as you sing. It comes with 7 coloured LED lights for added fun. Mi-Mic is perfect for children's parties, as a single charge gives 4 hours of play-time.

The Mi-Mic by Toyrific is a karaoke microphone with an in-built speaker and Bluetooth functionality. It comes equipped with a SD card reader, USB re-chargeable battery and charger. The Bluetooth allows you to connect the Mi-Mic to any paired device, so you can channel the music through it as you sing into the microphone head. The in-built speaker then broadcasts both the music and the vocals as one, giving a more rounded karaoke experience.

The Mi-Mic retails at £29.99 and is available to buy from all good toy stores and from Amazon. Just click on the picture link below and it will take you straight to Amazon marketplace where you can finish your purchase.

You can control the microphone and speaker volumes via separate buttons. There is an option to add an echo effect to your broadcast and to play, pause or skip tracks as you perform. The Mi-Mic comes with a speaker stand, if hands-free singing is more your thing.

The Mi-Mic is not all about tech. It has LED lights around the edge of the speaker that enhance the fun factor. You can choose to set the Mi-Mic steady at one of seven vibrant colours. Or you can opt for the more funky colour changing option, where the lights then cycle through all seven colours.

A single charge lets the Mi-Mic play for four hours, making it perfect for a children’s karaoke party.

J and I have practised singing with the Mi-Mic. We have tried solos and duets. We have sang acapella and with backing tracks. There have been times when J has been annoyingly noisy, using the Mi-Mic when we are trying to have a conversation. Overall though, it has been tremendous fun and something I can recommend if you love music, singing or making lots of noise.

Disclosure: I was sent a Mi-Mic for the purpose of this review. All opinions are my own.
