Rubik's Junior Pet Puzzles - Review and Giveaway

I am a child of the 1980s and grew up wearing shoulder pads and trying to solve the Rubik’s cube. A lot has changed in the last 20 years, but Rubik’s carries on even today. In addition to the cube, Rubik’s now has a range of puzzles to suit all ages and abilities.

The Rubik’s Pet Puzzle is a fantastic toy that encourages logical thinking and problem-solving skills. Available in four cute patterns - a puppy, kitten, bunny and bear, they are suitable for children as young as four.

The latest in the range are the Rubik’s Junior Pet Puzzles. There is a cute puppy, kitten, bunny and bear to choose from.

As with the Rubik’s cube, each pet puzzle has the same six vibrant colours. There is an important difference. The Pet Puzzles are aimed at a younger age group. Children as little as 4 years old can be encouraged to solve a Rubik’s Pet Puzzle. Each puzzle can be scrambled in different ways, but the pets have fewer mix-up possibilities. This means they are easier to solve and should be unscrambled in just a few moves.

My six year old son was delighted with his Rubik’s Puppy Puzzle. He needed no guidance and very little encouragement to solve it. There were delighted squeals of, “Done!” every so often, as he twisted and turned the pieces to first scramble and then unscramble the puzzle. Here he is in action with his puzzle, growing in confidence and speed with each attempt.

I am pleased with how happy J is with this new Rubik’s Junior puzzle. It is small and light enough to fit in his backpack, so the puzzle now travels with us everywhere. J plays with it in the car. He solves it while he waits to go swimming. There are plans afoot to take it on an upcoming train journey.

The Rubik’s Pet Puzzle is a fantastic toy that encourages logical thinking and problem-solving skills. It can hold a child’s attention and help beat boredom. You can take it with you nearly everywhere, from long journeys to family outings and it will keep the children entertained. You can see the appeal as a parent.

You can buy the Rubik’s Junior pet puzzles from most good toy stores like Argos, Smyths, Toys R Us and Toymaster for £9.99 each.

You now have a chance to win one of two pet puzzles by entering my giveaway below. (I cannot stipulate which of the four pet puzzles you will receive)
