Paleo Bars and Organic Lemongrass & Green Tea : A Review

In this day and age when we are constantly on the lookout for healthy foods, I was rather pleased to come across a couple of really good products made from good, wholesome ingredients.

Paleo Bars from the Primal Kitchen
The Paleo Bars, as the name suggests, are a throwback to the paleolithic era, an age when our hunter-gatherer predecessors lived in caves and had started developing stone tools.

Each bar is made with 4-5 real food ingredients and mainly consists of fruit and nuts. You have a choice of almond and cashew, brazil nut and cherry, coconut and macademia or hazelnut and cocoa. My personal favourite is the almond and cashew bar. Though the hazelnut and cocoa comes in a close second.

Apart from being quite delicious, these bars are healthy too, and can form a part of a healthy and balanced diet. They are all gluten, grain, refined sugar, soya, dairy, GMO and vegetable oil free, so can fit perfectly with varied lifestyles.

The second product that I tried and really enjoyed was the organic Lemongrass & Green Tea from the Natur Boutique London.

Organic Lemongrass & Green Tea from the Natur Boutique London

I grew up drinking a lot of lemongrass tea every time I was struck down with a bad cold, as it is supposed to be an immune-booster and aids relaxation. Green tea is also known for its anti-oxidant properties.

The Natur Boutique claims to ethically source the ingredients that go in the making of this tea. So by supporting the tea, you are supporting sustainable agriculture and helping indigenous people.

All that said, the bottom line is that this Lemongrass and Green tea is right up my alley in terms of flavour. A warm, soothing cup at the end of a long day is the perfect way to de-stress and relax.

I found both these products to be right up there with the taste. What makes them even better is the quality of ingredients that go into their making. Give them a try. They have the potential to fit seamlessly in your busy lifestyle.

Disclaimer: I received samples of both products for the purposes of this review. All opinions are my own.
